Be Inspired

One of the things I enjoy most about picture framing is the incredible variety.

In a single week, I might frame a contemporary painting, stretch a large canvas, restore an antique frame, mount a centuries-old tapestry, design a shadow box for a collection of medals, frame a child's first drawing, or work out how to display something that has never been framed before.

Every piece is different, every client is different, and finding the right solution is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Sometimes the answer is simple and understated. Sometimes it involves conservation, restoration, colour, unusual materials, or a completely custom-built solution.

Choosing a frame is about much more than matching colours. It's about finding the right balance between the artwork, the frame, the space it will live in and, most importantly, the person who'll enjoy it.

This gallery brings together projects from across the Artis Pura workshop. I hope it gives you a sense of what's possible and perhaps a few ideas for something you've been meaning to bring in.
