A sporting cap worn by a legend. A grandfather's saw wrapped in the same burlap sack he carried for decades. A piece of rope that once saved a life. An autograph book filled with fading signatures. A beaded flapper bag, an ancient arrowhead, a seahorse discovered on a memorable journey, a carved Braille panel that must still be touched and explored by the vision-impaired.

Three-dimensional framing is one of the most challenging and rewarding aspects of my work. Unlike a painting or photograph, objects rarely come with flat surfaces, predictable shapes, or obvious mounting points. Each piece demands its own solution.

At Artis Pura, I approach these projects as a balance of creativity, engineering and conservation. The goal is always to support the object securely while preserving its integrity and allowing its story to remain front and centre. Some pieces can be safely adhered using conservation-approved methods; others require custom-built timber supports, hidden brackets, Perspex mounts, or entirely bespoke display structures designed specifically for that object.
